Watertight Wire Management

UL Cable Tight™ System

The Cable Tight™ wire management system provides a true watertight end-to-end solution for electrical, sensor, and data wire management. With the safe and easy electrofusion welding installation process the HDPE-constructed electrical conduit, entry seals, and sumps are joined together to form one seamless system.

With no messy glues or adhesives to deal with, the electrofusion welding process is unaffected by weather or temperature. It yields consistent and accurate joints that are verified on the spot by the welder unit. The flexible conduit comes in 1,000 foot or 1,500 foot coils that can be rolled out into continuous runs, free of joints. These key system benefits allow you to eliminate potential leak paths from buried threaded or glued joints and rubber sump entries that may break down and leak over time.

ACCURATE INSTALLATION

Connections between containment sumps, conduit, and fittings are made using the electrofusion welding process. It yields consistent and accurate joints and eliminates any messy glues or adhesives that can be affected by weather or temperature. With the touch of a single button on the welder unit, coils embedded into each fitting are heated and then cooled to weld the individual components into one seamless, watertight connection. Installers will love the fast and clean installation which takes no longer than they’re used to with a traditional PVC or steel installation.

ELIMINATE LIQUID ENTRY PATHS UNDERGROUND

Cable Tight™ flexible conduit is constructed of HDPE (high density polyethylene) and comes available in 1,000’ or 1,500’ coils that can be rolled out into long continuous runs, free of joints. This eliminates potential liquid entry paths from threaded or glued buried joints that need to be made every 10’ with traditional PVC or steel conduit. The HDPE flexible conduit is electrofusion welded directly to 6’ sticks of rigid metal conduit that are either fully coated with PE or have a PE spigot connector depending on the application. This allows for an electrofusion connection which completely removes any threaded connections between flexible and rigid metal conduit at the tank sump, dispenser sump, or electrical trough running into the building.

WATERTIGHT CONTAINMENT SUMP ENTRY

For polyethylene sumps, Cable Tight™ polyethylene entry seals weld directly to the sump’s wall, creating a bond that’s even stronger than either of the two components on their own. For fiberglass sumps, Cable Tight™ fiberglass entry seals feature two rigid halves that compress into place on the sump wall, removing exposed rubber that can break down over time.

HIGHLY FLEXIBLE, HIGHLY DURABLE

Cable Tight™ conduits are manufactured using highly durable and corrosion-resistant materials. The conduit’s flexible construction wont crack when bent during cold-weather installation or shatter if accidentally struck by a tool or stepped on after they’ve been laid out on a busy job site. Their robust construction won’t corrode when exposed to high water tables, keeping your vital electrical and data wiring intact, and the station up and running.
